Mohammad Farjoud, Managing Director of Information and Communication Technology Organization in Tehran Municipality announced: Tehran is among the three finalists of the World Smart Cities Award

Managing Director of Information and Communication Technology Organization in Tehran Municipality by announcing the selection of Tehran as one of the three finalists of the World Congress of Smart Cities in 2021, said: In this event, which will be held in Barcelona in late November, Tehran, as one of the three finalists in the field of governance and smart economy, has a chance to receive this prestigious global award.

According to the public relations of Tehran Municipality Information and Communication Technology Organization, Mohammad Farjud said: in the Smart Award World Award in 2021 and in the section "Governance and Smart Economy", Tehran Municipality's Neighborhood and Citizenship Participation Project called as "baham"(i.e. together) among all cities participant in this section has been selected as one of the three finalists, then must compete for the award for the best project, and compete with his two final competitors, the Scottish Cities Union and the World Economic Forum.

Farjoud added: "The Smart City World Award is the most important international competition among smart cities in which leading projects, ideas and strategic plans from different cities around the world in areas such as viability, sustainability and economic benefits are reviewed and evaluated."
