According to the Shahr correspondent, Mehdi Chamran, Chairman of the Islamic Council of Tehran, on Tuesday - October 19, 2021 - in the 17th session of the Tehran City Council, by congratulating the week of unity and the auspicious days of the birth of the Prophet of Islam, emphasized: Unity and brotherhood are essential for the school and religion of Islam. Therefore, this unity and brotherhood must be established well and first of all between ourselves.

Chamran added: "our claim is that we will establish unity among all Islamic sects. First, there must be this unity among ourselves so that we can achieve the goal of the Prophet of Islam and thwart the enemies' conspiracy to break the unity."

He also said: "We see that ISIL, which claims Islam, is carrying out the most barbaric acts in the countries of the region in the name of Islam and with the aim of divisiveness."

The head of the Islamic Council of Tehran, by stating that unfortunately some are looking for false schools and distance themselves from the principle of Islam, etc. monotheism, said: The reality of Islam is monotheism and it is formed on the basis of unity, therefore we hope to be able to move in the path of unity, which will enable our victory in this path.
