Participation of Tehran Urban Research and Planning Center (TURPC) Experts at the Tenth Session of the World Urban Forum(wuf10)

The Tenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF 10) will be held from 8-13 February 2020 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Organized and convened by UN-Habitat, the World Urban Forum has become the foremost international gathering for exchanging views and experiences on sustainable urbanization in all its ramifications.
The Tehran Urban Research and Planning Center (TURPC) participated in wuf10 by 10 accepted works out of 15 submitted, which will be presented at Side Events.
Side Events at WUF10 will provide governments, partners, civil society organizations, private sector, community representatives, international and national organizations, academia, international and regional finance institutions, and other United Nations entities with a platform to showcase their most innovative solutions to various challenges. in attaining smarter vision, more inclusive, more prosperous and more sustainable future cities.

Festival of research and innovation in urban management (Tehran award) ( Farhad Mohabbati )
-Introducing book titled: Peace Street (Milad Etemadifar )
-Citizens involvement in subsidence control of Tehran city (Alireza Noory )
-A community-based planning framework for encountering urban decay (Amir Shafiee )
-Research and innovation council (Neda Mirakbari)
-Needs assessment and prioritization of urban management standards based on existing national standards (Mostafa Beigi)
-Innovative strategies to reduce urban noise pollution through sustainable urbanization (Somayye Manafi)
-Tehran nightlife; opportunities and threats (Maede Ghorashi)
-Innovative and humanitarian transnational municipal services at the Arbaeen pilgrimage ceremony (Reza Bayat)
The theme of the Tenth Session is Cities of Opportunities: Connecting Culture and Innovation.
It should be noted that the Municipality of Tehran sent 30 works to this forum, of which 15 cases were presented at the Tehran Municipality level.
